07/16/05: Serious answer: When they begin to affect your behavior

That's when you have a 'real' problem.

Here's my suggestion: Get busy. Start a business. Buy an old house and fix it up. Learn French well enough so you can tell what those rude-ass Quebecers are saying behind you back. Take an acting class and get involved with community theater. Do something positive to focus your energy.

Soon, the schmucks that surround you will seem less ubiquitous because they will be.

Serious bit of advice #2) Don't seek advice from a community of people who generally have more electronic friends than they have real ones.
