The reason that Mary Reilly is so underrated is completely due to the fact that most Americans are zombified morons who sit in front of the telly each day while eating pretzels and watching totally predictable films such as Terminator. They have no understanding of true televisual beauty because they cannot get their empty little heads around it. They don't enjoy films which require them to use their brains! Just shove a few explosions, a tough Arnie type guy, some sexy ladies, and plenty of good come-back lines and your average yanky-doodle will be perfectly satisfied!! However, not all americans are like this. Probably about 90% of the american population are. So apologies if you are one of the 10% that has a brain and uses it.
