To enjoy this movie you have to be Dylan fan. its a unique film because of its poetic speech who are we kidding people don't talk like that so you have to look through this movie as each charcter is a metophor. 1st jack fate is the son of that dieing president his father disowned him because he slept with his dad's mistress then he did what he wanted to do no one really appreciated some how he went to jail...so on but you need to be analyzing this movie just like a dylan song see what each word they utter carries from meanings that can apply to this world when you watch it as a story you won't like it i mean bob dylan never writes anything exept if there is some hidden message inside it like poets of the 19th centery. I LOVE THIS MOVIE plus i knew that thats how its going to be anyone whoever listened to anything bob dylan is ever said or sang about its like that. take his song "its all over now baby blue' we all enjoy listening to it but has anyone thought its about Merliyn monroe he was talking about how she was gone and how misrable she was and her lover who just walked out the door is JFK dying
