I love it in movies where Spaniards have English accents and they need interpreters to talk to Mexicans. It's laughable that Hollywood hasn't fuckin' grown up since they made El Cid. However, all the racist stereotypes, all the macho fanfare, all the cultural ignorance I endured for two fuckin' hours were worth enduring for the line after Antonio & Catherine's swordfight when her "father" asks "Did you recognize him?" "No, but he was vigorous. Very vigorous, father."
