Geez, what a crappy list. "Nemo" seems like the clear winner with "The Triplets of Belleville," a trippy French film that got good buzz & American distribution & "Millenium Actress" as the only other films that would be considered "good" (at least out of those I have heard of).
What else will get the other 2 nominations? "Jester Till" has a 7.9/10 based on 11 votes on imdb, but no English language reviews linked. I can't even find "Tokyo Godfathers" listed on imdb. "Brother Bear" will get nominated, I suppose b/c it is Disney & it has decent box office #s, but a 37% fresh rating is pretty pitiful. "Looney Tunes" got bad reviews & tanked at the box office. "Pokemon" -- no freakin' way. "Piglet" & "JB2" both seem like your average crappy Disney sequels. "Rugrats," meanwhile had even worse reviews & box office #s.
I wonder if they will only nominate 3 films like they did 2 years ago. Otherwise, we will have 1-3 really crappy movies nominated for a best picture category (more likely 3; anyone heard of "Tokyo Godfathers"? "Jester Till"?)
