This movie bothers me only when her father and the teacher make it sound bad for an adult to assert that they know what is best for the child's welfare more than the child. My wife and I try to explain this concept to our 4-year-old. I don't want him equating me to Matilda's father (he has a few more faults) because I endorse this one concept. Any informed opinions on this?
