I have seen so many people who didnt absolutely love reloaded (incuding myself, can just see what is wrong with it as opposed to hating it or anything drastic) getting the response that we dont get it? THis will then be followed by a comment like 'its pretty easy to get'. So what is it? Do we not get it cos you have to be real smart to get it or are we just too stupid?
Im gonna make this nice and easy for the aggressive supporters.
There is not much to get. If you have had any sort of religious education class in school or have somewhere to go once a week for an hour you have half of it figured before you even sit down to watch it. The philosophy seems so mind numbing to people because it is the symbolism of several incompatible eastern and western religions combined aling with greeek myth. Its a clutter. Plus the fact that the makers say we wont understand it without the game, the animatrix and watching Revolutions which means that the Wachowski's think nobody gets it except them.
I mean, would it really be so hard to say 'you didnt like the movie? But I loved it!', and maybe leave it there? Or discuss it? Face facts here boys and girls, nobody understands it.
Still, Im glad it isnt going as far as on aint-it-cool. People keep calling Harry a 'fat virgin fuck without the warner bros advertising he wants on his site' because of it.
