Forgot all about that holiday (despite all the Jessica Lynch hoopla).
I seriously did not expect "Elf" to beat "Revolutions" so soon, with or without a holiday. "Rev" is in some serious trouble indeed...
Although it is interesting that "Phantom Menace" was hated every bit as much (if not a hell of a lot more, at least by me) than "Reloaded" or "Revolutions," yet it refused to die at the box office. I suppose that PG rating helped it out a lot because kids will watch bad movies with a lot of eye candy, unlike adults.
