1) Were you a bully, nerdboy, loser, or invisible other in high school?
*Loser.
2) Do you think that kids can be so mean as to justify going Columbine? Any sympathy for the picked on nerds that strike back?
*I do know that for the sympathy of one living being, I would make peace with all. I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other.
3) Did you love going to high school and the whole popularity contests, school spirit, having your voice crack, growing hair in strange places, and popping zits? Or did you cut classes and are just happy to have made it out of that hell hole alive and with some shred of sanity?
*Day by day I struggle to maintain not only my strength but also my sanity. It's all a blur.
4) So do you now understand why you had to learn Algerbra, history, and industrial arts? Aren't you using it everyday?
*History is hard to know, because of all the hired bullshit, but even without being sure of "history" it seems entirely reasonable to think that every now and then the energy of a whole generation comes to a head in a long fine flash, for reasons that nobody really understands at the time---and which never explain, in retrospect, what actually happened.
5) Name the best things about going to high school (significant events like losing your virginity etc.).
*I quit school because I didn't like recess.
6) Any teachers/administators that you would have loved to see keel over and die?
*I remember the staff at our public school. You know, we had a saying, that those who can't do teach, and those who can't teach, teach gym. And, those who couldn't do anything, I think, were assigned to our school.
7) Ever have a crush on a teacher and/or an affair that you now feel safe in revealing?
*I was a bad girl in school. I fell in love with this teacher from England. I was only thirteen then. I saw him looking and asked if he wanted to fuck me - and he blushed. I used to hope my father would catch us.
8) Did you feel the need to act like a moron or did you take pride in being the first nerd to raise your hand to answer the tough questions?
*How do I know? God, I wish you wouldn't ask me questions like this! Really! I can't answer them. What do you want me to say?
9) Do anything that you regret in high school (like beat the crap out of kids or moon the janitor)?
*I can never regret. I can feel sorrow, but it's not the same thing.
10) Have you gone to any reunions or do you plan to or are you just going to forget that high school ever happened until you can track down the people you hated and gut them like fish?
*I'm on my way to the reunion now
