at least from a $ standpoint. I have only really liked the following Disney cartoon features: Pinnochio, Aladin, Little Mermaid.
In my opinion, the best animated product EVER was done by Chuck Jones: (Bugs Bunny circa 1950's). Adult humor and great manmade artwork in a "kids" product.
I'm trying to learn more about Japanese cartoons, but outside of the bug eyed and perky breasted heroines and futuristic doom plot lines, I don't get it. I watched but didn't really like Speed Racer (except the theme song) when I was a kid.
Outside of the typically youthful desire to discover really cool stuff that is unknown and outside the mainstream and set oneself up as an expert, I don't see the greatness of anime. I did the same when I was young (teenager and in my twenties).
