Some of us DO actually watch and critique the films-at least, I do. Me, Myself and Irene is not nearly as bad as the reviews would have you think. It is uneven, goes from comedy to drama w/o warning, and is foul-mouthed. It's also hilarious at times, and if the film was as good as its' high points, it might be a classic. I saw it at a dollar theatre, and the place was nearly deserted. It's not the best film of the year, but it's not nearly the worst, either. Carrey is always worth watching--he was excellent in the overrated The Truman Show, and he's very funny here-he makes a essentially unfunny show funny. Carrey let Hollywood and the critics have it after he failed to be nominated for Best Actor in Man in the Moon--I think some of the lousy reviews the film has gotten are payback for his remarks. The film is worth seeing-check it out. There are much worse flicks to spend
