My advice, don't waste the money on a built-in DVD player. It's only a laptop, DVD's are kind of superfluous.
32 meg isn't enough for today's memory-hogging games, so if you're gonna be playing Quake, I'd recommend getting a memory upgrade.
And I would NOT buy from a large company like Gateway or Compaq, they suck! If at all possible, buy from a local company (there's sevral in my area) that custom builds them. They, as a whole, have better customer service.
