...I'm going with the Gateway w/ no DVD -- maybe when I make my first million :) And they will customize the machine for you, although they start from a very basic setup of their own stuff and not from scratch. Anyway thanks for the advice.
Grundle, I know a kick-ass desktop like you said would be far cooler but they're just so damn heavy. Especially all that extra RAM (ha ha). And when you go to school a thousand or so miles from where you live, heavy is a big big downer.
