Here we go again, another movie about huge insects that plague an entire civilization and it takes a heroine to "stomp" them out, shall we say.
Excuse me, but IT'S BEEN DONE ALREADY!
Is Hollywood THAT dense? After "Alien 3," some moron thought it be a "cool" idea to rehash this plot of a woman vs. the big, bad bugs, but wait! It's in subway tunnels. And the heroine is a brainy scientist.
Of course, they try to add a few new elements into the story like the bugs are "mimicing" humans. So I guess I have to fear fleas on the account that they might evolve and take my job. Or the kid who uses spoons (no, I am not making this up) to "mimic" the monsters speech pattern. For the love of God, that's is a pile of bunk! So let me get this straight, the kid knows how to speak their lingo with kitchen utensils, how is he supposed to know what they are saying? Is there a book on this called "BUG CHAT"? And if the scientist created these bugs, wouldn't you think she know how to kill them? But I guess running around the subway is a good way to find out. My solution is to drop a huge bug-bomb and let God sort them out.
"Mimic" probably is a good scare. So I won't hate it too much, but I am not at all in a giving mood. Nice Alien rip-off, though. Like the new package . . .
