10/24/1998: Trivial Matters

Posted By: Oort

Those problems are trivial. So what if Shan Yu's death is taken from Broken Arrow. How many ways are there to kill a person that haven't been thought of by someone else, and of those, how many are bloodless enough to show on a kids' movie? Mulan could have run him through with his sword, but that wouldn't be too pretty. As for bowing in pieces, the victim doesn't neccessarily have to be dead. With a male, there is one piece that can be separated, causing a reaction not all that dissimilar from bowing. I personally liked Mulan a lot. It's way up there with The Lion King and An American Tail on my favorite movie list, and if people put it down I will think ill of them, and I will have to put them on my enemies list, right up there with Phil, who I would like to see reduced to a steaming crater by a powerful nuclear device.
