Disney has acquired the rights to distribute and dub several of Miyazaki's films. The most astonishing part of the deal between Tokuma Shoten (the company that currently owns the movies) and Disney is the "non-edit" clause in Miyazaki's contract. What this basically means is that Disney cannot edit, censor, or otherwise change the films other than to create a 100% faithful dub track. This means that the films have to be released in America exactly as they were seen in Japan, blood and all (and there is quite a bit of it in "Princess Mononoke"). Neil Gaiman of the "Sandman" and "Watchmen" comic book series is slated to write the English script. However, it is rumored that Disney will try to pressure Miyazaki himself to make edits in the material. Let's hope he sticks to his guns.
