OK...I have a few words about Eddy Murphy. He is an absolutly fabulous comedian and I roar with laughter every time I see him. He never fails to come up with the best jokes and the best movies. However, what is he doing in an ancient Chinese-based movie? That isn't the kind of thing I would normally expect to find him in. I think that Disney has run out of ideas for the laughable side-kick in their movies. Ever since Aladin, they have been trying WAY too hard to come up with a Robin Williams replacement (ie: Timone, Pumba, Victor, Laverne, Hugo, ect.) It is just getting TOO OLD!!! Anyway, what about that scene when Mulan hugs the emporor....um...that's not the way it works people. NOBODY (especially a girl) would even get near enough to even have him notice. I don't care if she saved his life, he would never kowtow and definatly would NEVER allow her to touch him. It doesn't matter that Disney wants to make it seem like she burst free from the repressive grasp of female oppression, it just is NOT REALISTIC!!!!
