Perhaps a good delay, however -- a couple of days ago I was suddenly inspired to write like I haven't written in years (okay, 2 years) and have churned out 100 pages of my novel since then, so I figured it would be rather foolish of me to take a break from it to finish off my work on my 2002 movie summary (which is actually 95% done) and deal with the beginnings of the Crankyland Movie Award polling -- after all, those latter two things will never make me any money, but you never know about the novel.
But I have a truly rare long weekend coming up as I don't work anywhere on Sunday or Monday (Sunday mostly because of football), so you never know what could happen on those days. Anyway, it's more than 3 weeks until the CMA "ceremony" -- perhaps I don't need to be polling so far ahead anyway, plus as it turns out, "Confessions of a Dangerous Minds" doesn't open wide until next weekend anyway, and I know there's much interest in that (me included).
In the meanwhile, "National Security" was lame compared to its slightly amusing trailer, "Kangaroo Jack" was jackshit as expected, and "A Guy Thing" was the funniest movie of its kind I've seen since "There's Something About Mary" (BACK, DREW!). "The Hours" is another "English Patient." And as for last week, "Just Married" just stunk.
That is all.
PS Marion, hang in there. (...karma...)
