I think most straight guys would not associate with the obviously gay guy but I don't think they'd be too threatened by him...
if a high school jock sees a very gay guy, he won't go near him... the homosexual will not exsist in his world...
...but if he finds out one of his team mates is gay, he will gte upset and will feel threatened. Who has he undressed in front of in the locker room? Who has he showered with? I think then, the hetero would want to hurt him.
Of course, would a jock even know what a homosexual is? It's a small miracle I think that most jocks even know how their sport is played... most of the time, I think their IQ level rivals a common houseplant
