A lot of people I know thought "Fight Club" was the best film of the year. A lot of other really didn't like it. The thing is, most guys I know liked it and most girls did not. There is a good deal of violence in it, but it is definitely in support of an anti-violence message. The movie is also very philosophical with a lot of cool camera work. I would say definitely go see it if you want to see something interesting. It might not exactly be your cup of tea (or it might), but it will definitely make you think. And bothe Brad Pitt and Ed Norton did a really good acting job in it. Hope that helps you out.
