Next Stop Wonderland was very listless, lacking in dimension. The best Boston film lately is "Monument Ave.", starring Dennis Leary. This may not get as much national play as "Good Will Hunting" and is not as stylized and Hollywood. Monument Ave. is raw, gritty and has terrific performances from Leary, Colm Meany, Billy Crudup et al. (Why Martin Sheen is in this film escapes me, however.) I predict Dennis Leary will be nominated for best actor and if the Academy had a brain, he would win!
