...I haven't had a chance to see this one yet. (I have to see it, because our local diner near New York Law School was used for at least one scene, and they've proudly displayed a poster for the film for months.)
I can tell you that the reviews have been pretty awful, and along the lines of the Crankster's comments -- in particular it seems absolutely inconceivable that the son of a New York City police officer, who himself becomes a local prosecutor, could reach his 30s without coming into contact with ONE dirty cop or even grasping the concept that a New York City police officer could be dirty. We've had at least one police corruption scandal per generation in this city. Indeed, if the lead character had seen any of Sidney Lumet's previous films about the NYPD, he would have realized the prospect of corruption.
Ignore the rush to post first; it will pass. Let's all stick to talking about movies and stuff, which is why we're all here in Crankyland.
