10/29/1998: Tristan! Where are you?

Posted By: Gwendolen

Well, how jolly odd - not in his room, not in the bar. He must be here, then - in the men's sauna. Oh, you needn't worry, attendant, I'm only going to stay a moment. I'm looking for Mr. Tzara - have you seen him? A somewhat short man, very smartly dressed, with a monocle and a stick. What do you mean, you don't see many men when they have their clothes on? You're simply being uncooperative - let me look in the sauna. Really, there's no need to make such a fuss, I'm a wholly emancipated woman.

Oh, I say - bit thick in here, isn't it? Tristan! Do say something! Oh dear, excuse me, I didn't mean to jostle you like that, but I'm looking for my fiance. Short man, with a monocle - here, you dropped your towel. Oh, I SAY....

Sidney! Oh, thank heaven you're here and wearing clothes! Come with you? But I haven't found Tristan!

What? Taken by foreign agents? Agents of what, Sidney? It's Henry who's the actor and possibly in need of an agent if he ever works with Mr. Joyce again. Tristan is an artist! A jolly fine artist, too - you should get him to write a sonnet with a plate of spaghetti for you.

Cheka? What do you want me to check on, Sidney?
