Secret Honor is a much better film than Stone's.
1)It's shorter
2)It only has one actor
3)Even though it is considered fiction, it has more truth in
it than anything Stone has done.
Anybody who knows anything about the life of Nixon knows that he sold his soul to the boys at Bohemian Grove (just the way Bush and Reagan did). The only error in Secret Honor was that Nixon says that *he* was Deep Throat...which can't be true because if it was, the trio would have spilled the beans by now (i.e, Bradley,Woodward & Bernstein).
Someone posted a note here that said that they couldn't believe that Deep Throat could be anybody but Kissinger. Why? Kissinger was riding high during those years just with the way things were going...why would he rock the boat? He has no allegience to this country...he only has it to his own ego.
Someone else posted a note asking for the personnel lists for inside the White House during the years '71-'72...that's the way to go. But, never fear, the day after Deep Throat dies, there will be 3 new books on the bookstore racks.
