Wasn't it great how he did those cameo appearances in his films, like in _The Birds_?
He only made one really crappy film I know of: JAMAICA INN, which was so bad it sank Mayflower Productions. Hitchcock, Charles Laughton, Robert Newton and others departed for the USA shortly thereafter.
