$800k short of "Spider-Man's" opening day record, which was set on a Friday, so for a Wednesday opening, that's beyond impressive. Blows away all the others (with "ROTK's" $35M the previous #1 for a Wednesday opening and "Matrix Reloaded's" $37.5M the record for a non-Friday opening -- however, they didn't include most of the $8M it made on the Wednesday night from 10P to 12A before it "officially" opened).
