It's true. See, Martin's father, George, was a G.I. in Europe during the sixties, right around the time of the Berlin crisis. He fucked a German fraulein named Gretal, and the woman gave birth to a young black baby. Now, George was as white as Gretal, who herself was as white as your normal German baby's ass. It didn't take long for George (who was pretty fucking thick, mind you) to figure out that his housefrau was dicking at least one of the black G.I.s. So George went on a rampage in his barracks and killed every brother he could get his hands on. Somehow, Gretal managed to escape and come to America with little Martin, whom she named after Martin Luther, NOT M.L. King but the Reformation leader. George Lawrence, Martin's father, was arrested for murder and thrown in the stockade at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He was eventually parolled and went to Hollywood, where he thrived as an actor. He changed his name to Jerry Orbach, and he can be seen starring as Det. Lenny Briscoe on NBC's Law and Order.
