Actually,I opted for sarcasm. Oddly enough, I come across sounding a lot like grundle.

Hi,

I've just read about how your company treated Nancy Bevilacqua, the lazy employee who obviously deliberately gave her mother a potentially fatal renal condition as an excuse to slacken off.

Your refusal to give this scheming shyster time off is a shining example of what people knocked down the Berlin Wall for, the relentless pursuit of money no matter what the cost. Next thing you know, people will be ten minutes late explaining their brats have "colds" or have "cut themselves on a lawnmower blade", each incident costing your paragon of mercantile values a good couple of dollars that would be better spent on a director's holiday home or a trip to Paris for the missus.

If we didn't need them to buy things, these needless underlings would be better off in concentration camps or permanently on dialysis machines, where their demands for spurious luxuries such as wages, toilet breaks or time off to give ageing relatives (who are going to die one day anyway) "perhaps the noblest gift of all" (scoff, scoff).

Hooray for Christopher and Banks, a fine bunch of people who are determined to wring the last buck out of their employees, no matter what the cost.

Yours sincerely,
