..was really feeling depressed.. Figured some wrasslin' would cheer me up.
BIG MISTAKE
HHH beat Kevin Nash
Boy, you can really tell that Kevin Nash has no confidence in himself right now.. He's just trying to be the cool, mad guy WAAAY tooo hard..Match was actually better then i thought it would be, though you know you're in trouble when the guest-referee gets the biggest pop from the crowd...Lots of blood which started off slow and painful to watch, but wound up finishing on a solid note..
Flair beat HBK, thanks to Orton
Was actually disappointed in this match.. After the match Flair had with Triple H a couple weeks ago, i thought for sure that this would be the match of the night..It was still not bad, but not what it should have been...
Steiner beat Test
Match was actually much more watchable then i ever thought possible.. I daresay it's the best match Steiner has been involved in since coming to the WWE (not saying much, but still)..Test copying Steiner's mugging was actually kinda funny..There was actually some legit 'suspense' *cough* as to who would actually win..
Christian retained over Booker via DQ
Probably my favourite match of the night.. Not anything super spectacular, but it's nice to see Christian actually wrestling again.. He's an underused guy on the roster..
Solid, if not spectacular match. I know alot of people hated it, but i felt the DQ finish was actually kinda good... (makes Christian come across as actually having some smarts)
Stupid ref moment, though, when the REF suddenly made an amendment to the match stating that, if Christian gets counted out, he forfeits the title.. I know we don't follow rules anyways, but there is NO way that would ever be legal for a ref to change the rules ON THE FLY!
Goldberg beat Y2J (though the crowd turned on him)
Coulda been the match of the night, but the two blew tooo many spots...Still watchable.. Jericho looks like he's back on the way up the ladder, after a brief stall with his character..Goldberg really got into a fans face after the match..(one of the strangest visuals you'll ever see: There were two fans sitting in the front row who were dressed in Winnie the Pooh and Tigger outfits.. Tigger was the one who REALLY got into it with William. TRULY BIZARRE!!!) There are reports that Vincent K McMahon is purposely screwing over any top tier talent that he didn't personally develop.. With the way he's handled Nash, Hall, Steiner and now Goldberg, i almost believe them..
La Resistance beat RVD & Kane
Sue me, but i love La Resistance... Their comments about being in the state of Texas really made me laugh (though they were really obvious).. The prancing that these guys do in the ring cracks me up..
Otherwise, this match blew.. Man, RVD has GOT to develop a personality and some ring psychology...His moves are among the best in the business, but you can only have the same match so many times before it gets BORING...
Sure hope Kane is about to revert back to the cool, evil, silent Kane.. Biggest mistake they ever made was let him start talking..... (second biggest mistake: completely contradict his character by showing that he's NOT REALLY BURNT ALL OVER HIS BODY! What are you thinking Vince? What are you thinking????) Oh and by the way: THE KANE-PYRO THING IS STILL GOING ON!!!! HOW CAN THEY BE SO DUMB?????? If Kane does his Pyro before the match, it means he's going to lose.. If he doesn't do it before the match, it means he's going to win... CAN YOU NOT BE THIIIIIIIIIS OBVIOUS??
Rodney Mack & Nowinski beat the Dudleys
I like Teddy Long and Nowinski has some potential, but otherwise....Erk.. This match was unwatchable.. I'm so fucking sick of the Dudley Boyz' shtick...They're right up there with Rikishi as guys who, when they walk out, i change the channel...
I won't even get into the specifics of the match, other then to say: why even bother having a ref in the ring anymore? It's not like they actually call the match according to the RULES...
Austin won the Redneck thing
Not quite sure what to think of this.. Bischoff and Austin have good chemistry together, but what was the point?? I'm beginning to think that the only reason Eric was hired was so that Vince could continuously embarass him on the air....
Don't get me started on the entirely too predictable front...Okay, was there anyone on the planet who DID NOT THINK THAT MAE YOUNG WAS ON HER WAY OUT FOR THE PIE EATING CONTEST??
I thought the Flair-Michaels match would be worth the money alone, but....
Yuck..
And i concur: Where was The Hurricane?
On a HEAT sidenote: Nice to see Molly Holly actually wrestling again.. I've been a fan of her's since her inception.. Not only is she the hottest legit female wrestler, she's also the most talented.. Why she doesn't wrestle more is beyond me.....
At least next month we'll have a Smackdown PPV.. Smackdown has the more watchable talent...
