I refuse to believe that anyone is anal enough to actually attend an Eddie Murphy and expect to be dazzled by the script, or the acting, for that matter. Not to defend a man I don't know, but Eddie Murphy does not make movies to win Oscars, he makes movies to make people laugh. And, as any comic can attest to, there will always be a tunnel- visioned, pompous sect of the public, who would rather disect a movie for the sheer bliss of being totally cynical almost to the point of driving the rest of us insane. I hope one day these people will take a lesson from this man's niece, the gifted visionary that she is, and learn to sit through a movie without whipping out the textbook from their college class,"Film 101". Now have some Junior Mints, and stop crying.
