Evidently, Mr. Cranky has limited experience in the company of gay men. As a member of this increasingly esteemed group, I can tell you that Paul Rudd depicts, in my book, an absolute dreamboat of a gay man--devoid of the stereotypes too often filmed: cattiness, cynicism, swish, lisp. Paul is what my friends and I like to call a "regular guy." His orientation is not obvious. Not that there's anything wrong with the overt display of one's sexuality. You've heard it before, but it just gets old to us queers for movies to keep showing just one kind of gay man: the flaming nelly queen. The overwhelming majority of us is more like Paul's character.
