I was the first in line to see Doc Savage. God! What an abortion that turned out to be. I must have read 20 Doc Savage books when I was a kid. Crappy plot, crappy acting, crappy special effects. Pretty much a crap trifecta. If you know anything about those books, "Monk" was a genius in chemistry with the strength of a gorilla. The director chose a fat guy to play him. Aaaaaaarrrrgggh. The film was directed by Michael (Orca, Summer of the Monkeys) Anderson.
I hope you have better luck when your Anime transitions to the big screen.
