Your analogy sucks balls. The quality of Hollywood films isn't anything like "a retard." A 'tard is an accident of nature, and you really can't blame anyone for his 'tardishness. No, most Hollywood movies are actually like the obnoxiously spoiled little bugger-eaters you see throwing a fit at the Mall because mommy said the dreaded "NO" word to them.
Unlike the case of the mentally challenged, there IS someone to blame for the behaviorally inept. The asshole baby-boomer parents who approach child rearing with a vile combination of shitty role models, no structure, and a complete void of real world consequences. With these kids it is better NOT to walk on by without comment. No, the best thing you can do for society is kick the idiot parents in the proverbial balls (or the literal ones, if appropriate) and remind them of the multitude of reasons they should avoid breeding in the future.
I like to think that this is precisely what Mr. Cranky does to the creators of Hollywood's most ill-conceived films. Hey, someone needs to give the directors, producers, and actors who create this insipid trash a proper ass-kicking, and I think old Cranky does a pretty good job of it.
