Don't ask the corrupt Bush administration, because they don't seem to know, either (mind the space):

Cheney link of Iraq, 9/11 challenged
By Anne E. Kornblut and Bryan Bender, Globe Staff and Globe Correspondent, 9/16/2003
WASHINGTON -- Vice President Dick Cheney, anxious to defend the White House foreign policy amid ongoing violence in Iraq, stunned intelligence analysts and even members of his own administration this week by failing to dismiss a widely discredited claim: that Saddam Hussein might have played a role in the Sept. 11 attacks.
Evidence of a connection, if any exists, has never been made public. Details that Cheney cited to make the case that the Iraqi dictator had ties to Al Qaeda have been dismissed by the CIA as having no basis, according to analysts and officials. Even before the war in Iraq, most Bush officials did not explicitly state that Iraq had a part in the attack on the United States two years ago.
But Cheney left that possibility wide open in a nationally televised interview two days ago, claiming that the administration is learning "more and more" about connections between Al Qaeda and Iraq before the Sept. 11 attacks. The statement surprised some analysts and officials who have reviewed intelligence reports from Iraq.

Rumsfeld Sees No Link Between Iraq, 9/11
By ROBERT BURNS, AP Military Writer
WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Tuesday he had no reason to believe that Iraq's Saddam Hussein had a hand in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.
At a Pentagon (news - web sites) news conference, Rumsfeld was asked about a poll that indicated nearly 70 percent of respondents believed the Iraqi leader probably was personally involved.
"I've not seen any indication that would lead me to believe that I could say that," Rumsfeld said.

Well, Mr. Straight-Talking Defense Secretary, maybe you should huddle with the Vice President, because he seems to think that there are indications that would lead him to believe that Saddam was up to his moustache in Sept. 11. Maybe you should watch Meet the Press to find out what it is your administration is saying.
Or maybe Cheney needs to clear his comments with Rumsfeld before shooting the side of his mouth off. Naturally, Tim Russert, a charter member of the Media Whores, didn't have the facts at hand to challenge his good friend Crash Cart when he was lying through his clenched teeth (at least according to Rumsfeld's version).
What's the truth? Apparently, whatever's most convenient for the corrupt Bush administration depending on the speaker and the venue. Just because tens of thousands of people have been killed in service of this proposition, there's no reason to get all het up about it, is there?
