Either he goes on the stand, or he doesn't. If he does go on the stand, then liberals criticize this for being a traumatic experience for the boy. OK. I can see that point. But if he doesn't go on the stand, then liberals claim that he wasn't given a fair chance to tell his side of the story. And the liberals would have a good point there, too. So you're darned if you do, and your darned if you don't.
The fact is that he has been charged with a very, very serious crime. He deserves to be tried, and if he is convicted, then I hope that he spends the rest of his life in jail.
If he does go to jail, they should make sure that he is seperated from adult prisoners. And he should be given a chance to get an education, given reading materials, given decent food, a soft bed to sleep on, a bathroom that allows him be on the toilet wihout been watched by others, and other such types of humane treatment.
But he should be put on the witness stand for his trial. I see nothing wrong with that.
The United States is a far more humane country than Cuba, Libya, Sudan, etc. As I've said before, just take a look at immigration patterns. Look at the countries that people want to move out of, and look at the countries that people want to move in to.
