I hear you Bulworth. Any time when I see one of this type of film (usually against my will or better judgment) I almost immediately fall asleep. It's probably my body defending itself before I die from of sheer boredom.
Oddly enough, it also seems that one or more of the lead characters deserves to get their ass kicked for all time, yet that never happens.
I can only take these touchy, feely moments in small doses (like the occasional, but not-to-often, "please don't die" scenes).
