Let's see. This could be the Beast-hater stealing another old poster's handle. That's pretty believable, since the old Megara knew that Megara was NOT a goddess.
It could be the Beast-hater tricked Megara by changing their identity in their mail client - I used to play around with my friend by sending her emails from her own address before she figured out how to look at full headers and see where it REALLY was coming from.
Or it could be Beast really does have a split-personality.
I tend to believe the first hypothesis.
