Back in 1999, a stupid terrorist named Ressam was caught in Victoria (yay team!) planning some Y2K bombing stunt. He turned stoolie on his compatriots, who were convicted of planning terrorists act, and sentenced to (I think) 50 years.
Now, he's admitted that he tried to rob a currency exchange (originally, he said he just thought about it). Based on this new information, the defence wants a new trial.
Huh? You mean this admitted terrorist isn't, in fact, a fine, upstanding citizen?
Ugh. American lawyering at its best. No offence intended
