Thread deletions-- There's the 'normal variety' when the lower part of a forum gets removed to save space and then there's the 'tell Mr. Cranky that the bad people are picking on you again and he better make it stop variety' which involves a particular thread being sacrificed to preserve someones self-esteem. The former is sometimes regrettable, but understandable, while the latter is pretty laughable and has been happening with surprising regularity of late - the second Apt Pupil, Idle Hands, Mummy, and the first Eyes for instance. The FM after Tick/Bluestocking but before the current one also disappeared for no apparent reason.

I've never had any interest in seeing a thread get deleted and would *love* to see Mr Cranky post who asked to have a thread deleted and why he's deleting it before he actually does it.

skywhale-- Here's a few tips since you're new: 1)It's ok for Richard to insult someone constantly but anyone else who does that is a troll. 2)Pointing it out when he says something illogical or breaks his word will make a poster a troll too. 3)Persistently disagreeing with him can lead to a poster becoming a troll *and* a bigot.

Richard-- you wrote: Why not just E-Mail the bozo? In fact, let's both E-Mail the bozo. Let's bring skywhale screaming down out of the sky to splat with a great whomp, spreading blubber and stupidity over a square mile.

Back in december you had considerable difficulty figuring out that email isn't proof of identity and you say you've learned from that embarassment but this statement again implies that you think email constitutes proof of identity.

you wrote: Good healthy derision is sick only in the eyes of he who deserves it

Discord already brought this up but it's so good I have to comment on it too. So the reason you call me names for mocking your 'inconsistencies' is because you view it as sick to ridicule you (ergo you deserve it)?

Tick-- It was Phydeaux who died, wasn't it? The announcement of his death sounded like an experiment for a psych class so I was surprised so many people took it seriously.
