And hey, even if I got pissed at people for playing pranks or hanging up, I still understood why they were doing it. And I was at least doing something important - state-wide polls on politics, HMOs, and other things that were done by the government and released on the frontpage of the newspapers.
And I still mess with the head of anyone who calls me up Sunday at 9:00 am to ask me how I'm doing and if I'd like their cred-OHMYGODWHATAREYOUDOINGHEREINMYOFFICEWITHAKNIFE!! Well, that's what they always tell me anyway...
I do the same with guys who think they are more Christian than anyone else by handing out fliers in front of colleges at 3:00 am and shouting at everyone about something that they obviously missed the point. My favorite is when I freeze in the middle of them, creepily stare and smile at one or two of them, and ask them: "Are you the gatekeeper?" As they look on bewildered for a few seconds, I walk on, as if I had never been interrupted...
