National Public Radio's report yesterday morning cited all three reasons for Connery's having been passed over this time -- his Scottish Nationalist ties, his residence in tax-shelter land, and his remarks about women. BUT a Scottish Nationalist M.P. is raising questions in the House of Commons, and another honours list is coming up in June (for the Sovereign's designated birthday), so maybe he has another bite at the apple -- or is it thistle?
