The same thing happened at my theatre. Everyone JUMPED till they hit the ceiling with that one. Then they laughed at themselves and each other for being scared...
I've seen similar things happen in other horror movies, most notably in my memory with the girl who starts opening the tent in "The Sixth Sense" and that scene where the skeleton turns her head in "Nightmare on Elm Street 5".

Yeah, I thought Kidman's husband was dead in that scene.
But I didn't suspect that she was dead too. Just that,
somehow, she could touch him.
