if our prisons and death row seats were used to house "murderers, rapists and drug dealers" then we'd see a racial cross section that reflected the racial makeup of society at large. white people are as likely to do any of those things as anyone else. if 'drug dealers' were going to prison, then ollie north would be at san quentin, not running for political office.
if race has nothing to do with our fascination with "o.j." then how come the condit/levy situation gets almost no press, in comparison with the oj thing which you couldn't avoid when it was going on, and still gets discussed in web sites like this. does anyone think that senator didn't kill that intern? but no one really cares that much.
of course none of this matters. when you live life according to lynch mob politics, logic, insight and analysis need to be cast aside.
