My dad found a Scienetology magazine somewhere, and it was hilarious, bizarre, and disturbing all in one. They call themselves or their souls "thetans". They have these retreats they go to for some reasons I could never figure out. The arctiles were so incomprehensible that they were funny. In the back of the mag. you can order videos like "L. Ron Hubbard: Master Mariner", about the scientology founder's real life exploits! Yeesh!
I seem to recall "Dianetics" mentioning that homosexuality is a mental disease, too. But how can Tom Cruise be a Scientologist then?
L. Ron and the Church of Scientology remind of an old Star Trek episode about a machine called "Landru" that control everyone's minds.
