08/10/07: Right on, Cranky....

Posted by: Monster Zero

The South is now being used for cultural shorthand for all the rural areas of America that are pretty backwards, boring, and generally a prime example of Bush's Amurrica. The only reason Hollywood panders to it is because the culture has ever since the millennium changed.

It's nice to see that backfiring in a big way seven years later, but the whole idea of the South being some wholesome and prime example of American 'values' is a crock considering they still can't get over 'outsiders' having the same rights as they do. Pathetic elitism posing as some Andy Griffith wet dream seems to be their trade that was given a reacharound by the current Administration.
