The story goes that while Quentin Tarantino was editing Jackie Brown, Steven Soderbergh, the director of Out of Sight, stopped over and shot the shit. In the process of the shit shooting, he saw some footage of Keaton as Nicolet and thought he did a good job. It also went to establish a neat little bit of inter-Leonard film continuity
