Not sure about the posited causal relationship between LBJ and Tricky Dick (OK, I'll call him Richard Milhous Nixon for you, RBB) and childhood poverty.
However, I strongly believe that children having children is the number one social problem in my community and the country. It is a sure ticket to a crappy life for the child produced, her teenage mother, and her tired grandmother who struggles to raise her.
It is not a republican/democrat issue, a right/left issue, or a Cato/Brookings issue. It is an issue of individual choice and responsibility.
