Of course, it was inevitable. The success of bottom-feeding morons like the Farrelly brothers and Kevin Williamson meant that their pernicious influence would be felt in other media as well. Now (oh joy) we can look forward to TV fare like Fox's "Get Real," featuring loads of dialogue that was apparently written by basement-dwellers who never come into contact with the outside world, and have no idea how real people speak. "Real people constantly make snide references to pop culture... right?" And so we're treated to CONSTANTLY seeing that promo after every Simpsons rerun, wherein that marble-mouthed little runt slurs "I wissh I could disappear off the fashe of the earth like Alisshia Silverstone".
Doubtless we can also look forward to many more "Dawson's Creek" knockoffs in the "drama" department, or Farrellyesque grossouts to join the parade of failed UPN and WB "comedies."
Who watches this crap anyway?
