Is "dullest" a word?
A friend and I went to this flick for a couple of reasons: 1) We felt like seeing a "funny" movie 2) Some people we knew recommended it (what were they thinking?!?) 3) We'd enjoyed the Grumpy Old Men series but mostly 4) The other movies playing were Good Burger and that new Steven Seagal one...
So, we entered the theatre to discover it was filled with old people...we were probably the only ones there under the age of fifty. Then the movie started. Dull is an understatement. It felt like we were watching the movie poster for two hours. My friend promptly fell asleep, but I kept myself awake, searching for something...anything amusing. If I had laughed, even smiled, just once, I would have felt that my $3.50 wasn't completely wasted. Alas, it was not to be. However, the rest of the audience was pretty amused...one man laughed repeatedly, only to bring on a violent coughing fit each time. Besides the movie being dull, I thought that the guy might have a heart attack or something. All in all, a pretty terrible experience.
