the previews are misleading. But that isn't inherently bad. The previews for Fight Club were misleading also and that turned out to be a great film.
This film however, is a goddamn travesty and I can't believe the hype that the media is putting behind this one to try to get people to go see it. I paid my $8 and what I got was "For Whom The Bell Tolls" mixed with some Gabriel Garcia-Marquez type fantasy/reality blending.
Serioulsy, how the hell does this thing get one bomb? It could have been done with a Plotto. None of the characters have the least amount of depth. The evil general, the good-hearted brother, the strong female (who isn't really strong and ends up needing to be rescued) etc.
You think we would learn more about the relationship between mother and daughter. No. You think we would learn more about what happened to the first husband that was so traumatic. No. Nothing. Just pure crap.
This thing was awful on every level.
